Demi Vase

Wheel-thrown speckled stoneware ceramic and mother of pearl vase. This piece has gone through the creative process of being thrown on the ceramic wheel, carved, fired in a kiln, glazed, fired in a kiln once again, painted with mother of pearl luster, and fired one last time at a slightly lower temperature. 

To ensure functionality, the interior is glazed to hold water, though the exterior retains the raw, organic texture of the clay.

Because each piece is handmade, you may find slight imperfections that celebrate its unique origin.
